Dear golfer,
The Louisville Golf Club Company was founded in 1974 by my brother Elmore Just; we quickly became the industry's leading manufacturer of Persimmon woods. Our company based in Louisville, Kentucky, made Persimmon woods for legendary golf companies such as Ben Hogan, Wilson, Tommy Armour, Ram and Spalding. Now Louisville Golf is leading the way in a niche that is growing in popularity every year. The resurgence in playable wood-centric golf clubs allows us to make, innovate, play and promote the products you see on this website. We’re golfers ourselves, so we’re like you in that we love this wonderful sport and we do not want it to lose touch with its endearing traditions.
In a game that has largely forgotten golf's simple joys we take great pride in preserving the game's grand legacy deeply rooted in wooden golf clubs. We are honored to be able to offer a wood golf club as a choice to the modern golfer, whether they are Persimmon woods, Premium hardwood putters or Hickory-shafted golf equipment. We are uniquely qualified to fulfill this mission.
Thanks to golfers like you our mission is one that is well received. On a regular basis we take a phone call (1-800-456-1631 M-F 9 to 5 EST) from a grateful golfer thrilled that they have found our product line. A lot of these golfers we know by name and speak with on a monthly basis. This makes all the work that goes into our handmade products worth it.
So whether you are a golfer who fondly once played a Persimmon fairway wood or driver and longs to return to the poetic pounding of a solid wood golf club (having experimented with the hollow clubs and claims of the larger metal companies), or someone with an innocent curiosity about all our clubs and looking for a way to enjoy golf again, we are grateful that you have found us and invite you to join our humble company in the enduring spirit of the game.

Re: Dear golfer,
You guys are a godsend. I was killing myself to find a gift for my father-in-law and you have answered my prayers. He loved the putter, and now I am finally in the the family. Thanks! Ben

Re: {Sure} Dear golfer,
Mike, On-going thanks to you and all the craftsmen & women at Louisville Golf. When all is said and done, golf is a game of adventure, integrity, character and flat out fun! Maintaining a standard of anything worthwhile is never an easy or popular road to travel. I've thoroughly enjoyed playing persimmon my entire golfing "adventure" (47-years now) and I'm encouraged by your groups steadfastness. Although I'm a former prototype machinist, I've always desired the beauty and energy of wood vs. steel. Maybe I'm nostalgic...but golf without persimmon just doesn't excite me. Thanks for all you do.
