The 26-degree Wooden Cleek is among our most popular Hickory-shafted models; it is a duplicate of a MacGregor B25 Perfection model that first appeared in the 1924 MacGregor catalog. This club looks and plays like a modern day hybrid. If I had to carry only one fairway wood in my bag this would be the one. Excellent replacement for the mid-iron. You can hit the 26° cleek further and higher than the mid-iron giving you a better chance to hold the green.

This Harry Vardon reproduction model Bulldog was the trouble club of the Hickory era. Bulldogs, so named for their short nose and compact size. They have a rounded sole which makes them great for getting the ball out of a bad lie. They can also be easier to hit than long irons for many golfers, acting like a modern hybrid club. This bulldog would most likely replace the mid-iron.

Wilson sporting goods originally introduced the Wilsonian models circa 1915 and spanned production of the line over the next decade.  Over those years many profiles and shapes ensued and several became desirable for modern hickory competition.  Difficult to procure and most notable, the deep faced large headed driver, was sought after by competitors seeking confidence in a large head sporting a convincing sweet spot.  It took over ten years of selection of original examples before we settled on the current offerings presented here to best represent the Wilsonian line.  Make no mistake, these are exact replicas of the originals to every discerning detail.  Intended for players of all abilities making this a great consideration for any player in our hickory line up.

A 2019 extension to the Wilsonian series is an exact replica of an original period Wilsonian spoon.  A symmetric match to the Wilsonian driver and fairway playable Wilsonian Brassie.  Lofted at 18* to help promote optimal launch and a higher ball flight.  A neutral face angle makes this club playable for all skill levels.

In 1903 Willie Dunn Jr. received a patent for one of the first center shafted putters. This putter was not only unique because it was center shafted, but the material it was made from was one of the first thermoplastics – Pyralin. According to the patent the “pyralin cushions the shock will adding power to the shot.

The original Kempshall putters are rare and collectible. A black one sold at Sotheby’s auction for $1625. The white one, which Sotheby’s says only around 5 are known to exist, sold for $2000.

The replica Kempshall putter is made from a more modern thermoplastic since pyraline is no longer available. You will see in the Louisville Golf Kempshall that we paid every attention to detail to replicate the original Kempshall as close as possible: the cross hatch scoring on the brass face, the contrasting alignment mark, the weight plugs in the back of the head, the solid hickory shaft and the hand wrapped leather grip.

Like all Louisville Golf putters the Kempshall is completely playable. This center shafted, face balanced putter can complete with any modern putter.

The Jack White 1930 Special 26° persimmon cleek is finished to match the Jack White 1930 Special Series of clubs. It features a full solid brass sole plate which helps lower the center of gravity and improve launch. Satin finished in the spirit of the 1930’s with authentic period fine grooves.

The head of this Wooden Cleek is narrower than a standard fairway wood and resembles a modern hybrid.
