In 2000 Louisville Golf began a relationship with the PGA of America when Louisville Golf was allowed to offer a special commemorative putter during the PGA Championship won by Tiger Woods. When Valhalla Golf Course in Louisville, Kentucky was awarded the Ryder Cup for 2008, Craig Thomas of the PGA, Mark Wilson of Valhalla and Josh Fischer of Louisville Golf hatched a plan that would allow for putters to be made from the trees that were being moved on the host course. The most prevalent species of trees that were found were gorgeous Cherry logs set aside for Louisville Golf by Wilson, Valhalla's superintendent, and the grounds crew at the newly historic. Almost two years in the making, the Cherry was cut and allowed to air dry in the vaults at Louisville Golf and was offered for sale on site exclusively through the PGA Merchandise tent. It is available to you at a discounted price for the first time!
