In the late 1920’s, near the end of the Hickory era, golf companies began making more attractive and ornate golf clubs. These were commonly called “fancy face” because of their colorful inserts. Our Fancy Face driver is a reproduction of a wood made by the Klin-McGill Company of Valparaiso, Indiana. Not only is the insert patterned with colorful dowels, there is also a matching ivory colored backweight. A pair of gold alignment lines on the crown completes this driver. These same aesthetics are incorporated into the Fancy Face putter.
