This unique putter was originally named the Chantilly after the hometown of its inventor in France. It soon became known as the Gassiat after Jean Gassiat (pictured below), a French golf professional of some renown. It can be classified as one of the more radical designs of its time with its main feature being the right angle it creates to help alignment.
