In order to create the most authentic replica putters possible we used original clubs to make master models; these models were then put in our duplicating lathes and copied to match the original putters in every dimension. Louisville Golf craftsmen, each with an average of 30 years experience, performed over 100 hand operations to produce a putter exacting in every way to the original. You can feel the quality when you hold the putter in your hand. The grip is genuine, hand-wrapped leather. The deep rich color of the hickory shaft is achieved by using “gilsonite,” the same material that was used on the original shafts. The shafts are finished with shellac, just like the originals. Even the pitched linen whipping thread on the neck and grip is authentic to the period.
