I have hit this club now for a year with a steel shaft. I play with both my son's that play for the local high school and college. I get to hit the "flavor of the month" high tech drivers when I play with them and their friends. I played the last week of Dec on Cape Cod against a 30 MPH wind. I alternated hitting the new stuff vs the Classic 50 that I normally play. What I can say is that you can do more with the Classic 50 than you and with swinging the "paint can" heads of the new stuff. When I need to hit a low screemer against the wind I can with the Classic 50. When i need to hit a fade I can with the Classic 50 or draw I can. The boys don't hit it much further with the new stuff. I can still give them a run for the money when they are not playing every day. The Classic 50 let you know hit it good and you know when you hit it bad. You can fix what what you are doing wrong for the next shot. The new stuff just lies to you. If you want to improve your game, this is the club for you. It is a great club. You an play it for years.
BTW You can hit " the driver off the deck" with the Classic 50 and make some of those short par 5's in two. It is just plain fun. You can not do that with any other club.
