Bulldog 25 Degrees

This Harry Vardon reproduction model Bulldog was the trouble club of the Hickory era. Bulldogs, so named for their short nose and compact size. They have a rounded sole which makes them great for getting the ball out of a bad lie. They can also be easier to hit than long irons for many golfers, acting like a modern hybrid club. This bulldog would most likely replace the mid-iron.

This is an excellent club; coming from not being able to hit other small fairway woods at all, this is a stunning change for me. I am a super casual golfer, but I am now getting more time to play, so I wanted to get “newer” equipment. I decided to try out a hickory shafted, persimmon wood, and the bulldog was my first choice (honestly because it had a cool sounding name). I love that It hits so very straight, and I can get distance off the fairway with this club much more easily than any other wood I used in the past. I got a midsized, .945″ grip, and it feels great in the hand. overall, the quality and finish of the club is amazing, and that is why I just bought a full starter hickory set from LG!
